How to edit a video online
- Add video clips. You can also add audio files and images.
- Select a clip on the timeline to set its trim start and end. Drag clips to reorder them.
- Add music or narration as audio layers, or use Extract audio to move a clip's sound to its own layer.
- Add text or image overlays and drag them into place on the preview.
- Click Download Video. The video renders in real time, so keep the tab visible.
Tips
- To replace a clip's sound, set its volume to 0 and add music underneath.
- Export is MP4 in recent Chrome, Edge and Safari, and WebM in Firefox.
- Short clips work best. Very long or 4K footage can run out of device memory.

What formats can I upload, and what does export produce?
MP4, MOV, WebM, M4V and OGV, depending on your browser. Export is MP4 where the browser can encode it, otherwise WebM.
Why did I get a WebM file instead of MP4?
Export uses the browser's built-in encoder. Firefox and older browsers only encode WebM, which plays in all modern browsers.
Can I combine several clips into one video?
Yes. Clips play in timeline order and export as one video.
Does my footage get uploaded while editing?
No. Preview and export both run on your device.
