How to use the advanced image editor
- Open an image. Each extra image you add becomes a layer.
- Set light first: exposure, contrast, highlights and shadows, watching the histogram.
- Adjust color with temperature, tint, vibrance and saturation, or shape the tone curves per channel.
- Fix local areas with the brush, clone, smooth and lighten tools, or paint a mask.
- Crop, rotate or flip, hold Compare to check against the original, then download.
Tips
- A histogram bunched to the left means underexposure. Clipping at either end means lost detail.
- Use vibrance before saturation. It boosts muted colors and protects skin tones.
- Masks hide pixels without deleting them, so you can refine a blend later.
- Undo and redo are Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z.
FAQ
Is this a real alternative to desktop photo software?
For photo correction, color grading and layered composites, yes. It has no text tool; use add text to image for that.
What's the difference between the curves and the sliders?
Sliders move fixed tonal ranges. Curves let you place points anywhere on the range, per color channel.
How do masks work here?
Click New mask in the Masks panel and paint with the Brush to hide parts of the layer under the mask; the Eraser reveals them again. On a single photo the hidden area becomes transparent. On a photo stacked over another, the bottom photo shows through.
Can I combine several photos into one image?
Yes. Add each as a layer, set order and opacity, mask what shouldn't show, and download the flattened result.
Is there a size limit?
Only your device's memory. Typical camera photos work fine.
